«When he carved the pedestal on which his sculpture stands Eugène BRANCUSI made it the focus of attention. He invited the public into his study to show them what he wanted to express concerning the impact that sculptures, their bases and space had on one another.

I invite people to become the base of the sculpture that they have been invited to make. I organise walks for participants and for myself in which we are living pedestals, balancing our sculptures on our heads and turning towards the sun when the horizon is marked out at twilight.»  Agnès
